You apply via internet. To be able to apply, you need a member’s number (CSN-number) which you receive when you become a member of AEGEE-Lund. It is possible toapply for 1-3 alternatives, but you can only be accepted to one of them. Further information about how to fill out the application form can be found under ”How do I apply?" below.

Who can apply?

Only members of AEGEE can apply, and you have to pay an application fee. If you are not already a member, you should make the following payments to postal giro 918425-0:

- membership fee 175 kr

- application fee 40 kr

Furthermore, don’t forget to send an email to aegee@af.lu.sewhen you have made the payment. The membership in AEGEE-Lund is valid for a year (Jan-Dec) and gives you access to many events all overEurope and various local activities. Since AEGEE-Lund is affiliated to AF, you also need to be a member of Studentlund.

NB! In case you pay your membership fee just a few days before deadline –please contact the SU-responsible. Otherwiseyou won’t receive your CSN-number (in case you don’t already haveone) and we can’t see that you have become a member which we need to know before we can approve your application.

Important! Write your name, date of birth, phone number, e-mail address andwhich nation you belong to when you make the payment. As soon as your payment has reached us, you will receive your Card Serial Number(CSN) by email. During May you will receive the membership card. TheCSN-number has nothing to do with the Swedish CSN (CentralaStudiestödsnämnden).

How do I apply?

The application period is1 March – 24 April. You can apply to up to three different summer universities, but you can only be accepted to one of them. It is consequently possible to apply for only one or two summer universities, something we recommend you to do if there is a placeyou particularly want to go to, since the preselection process is rather unpredictable. Please feel free to contact us if you want advice on how to apply in the best way. The application is not binding until you have been accepted and confirmed that you are going.

1. Pay your SUapplication fee and membership fee to AEGEE and send an email toaegee@af.lu.se.As soon as we see your payment, we will send your CSN-number which you need when you apply. NB! If you pay your membership fee one ofthe last days before the deadline, it is very important that you contact our SU outgoing responsible.

2. Create a personal AEGEE.org-account by following the instructions on the site aegee.org registration. For this you will need your CSN-number.

3. Log in to web.aegee.org/su with your personal AEGEE-org-account and fill outthe application form. Be sure to fill out the dates correctly (usually dd.mm.yyyy – read the examples!)

4. If you have filled out everything correctly, you will receive a confirmation of yourapplication to the email address you have indicated.

The selection procedure

Preseleection: After the application deadline, all applications are gathered in adata program. The program chooses one of your applications and sends it to the organizers of that summer university. This is done in orderto give the organizers the most varied selection possible, which will also increase your chances to go to a summer university. You willreceive a message by email stating where you application has beensent (i.e. preselection). In case you have only applied for one SU,your application will automatically be sent to that place (you willhowever still receive an email about preselection).

Selection:It is then up to the organizers to choose who will participate in their SU and who will be put on the reserve list. They mainly choose participants based on the motivation letters from the candidates, so put some effort to your letter.
